– With new technology comes new……expo opportunities. For the first time ever PAX Australia will have a dedicated section for VR technology. The VR Freeplay area will include a HTC Vive play area that includes treadmills and green screen setups as well as playable Playstation VR and Oculus Rift setups. So if you are yet to be convinced by VR this should be your first stop at PAX Aus.

– In one of the more interesting promotions in recent years Ubisoft is running a film festival to promote the upcoming Watch Dogs 2. The short film festival will have a theme of “Hacking Heroes” and will have a grand prize of $73000. The jury will be made up of Watch Dogs 2 developers as well as Now You See Me and The Incredible Hulk director Lois Leterrier. For more information head to the website here:

– The finale of Season 1 in the new Hitman game has been dated. The mission will be hitting on October 31 and will be set in Hokkaido Japan. The developers promise this will be the most challenging area yet and will be a culmination of what players have learned throughout the Hitman journey. There is no word as yet if there will be more seasons of Hitman but it appears the episodic nature of this entry has been both a critical and commercial success.
