Sony Fights Fires with Streaming
Every year, Sony Foundation Australia, the charity backed by all the Sony companies, runs a massive streaming event called Gaming4Life and this year the big news is that it is raising funds for its own Bushfire appeal, to help ease the devastating effects of the current bushfire crisis that is tearing through Australia.
Sophie Ryan, the CEO of the Sony Foundation said, “We know many people in the gaming community in Australia, and around the world, want to contribute to the Bushfire Relief efforts in a meaningful way. Gaming4Life 2020 is Sony Foundation’s way of bringing this community together to make a significant impact to aid the recovery of young people affected during this time of national crisis. The Twitch community never fails to amaze us by their continued generosity and we would like to thank all those who will take part, either streaming or donating, as every bit helps.”
To get the Twitch community interested there will be some great prizes up for grabs for streamers who decided to take part in this fundraising event, including a major prize of an all-expenses-paid holiday to Club Med Bali. How do you get in on the action? Well, you can head over to their website and register, or you can simply donate to the cause once the streams go live. Easy right?
