Puzzle Platformer Ageless is Out Now on PC and Switch
Mess around with the fabric of time with Ageless, an intriguing puzzle platformer from One More Dream Studios and Team 17 that’s just hit PC and Nintendo Switch storefronts.
Following the magical journey of protagonist Kiara, Ageless features a time-manipulation hook similar to that seen in The Messenger, a brilliant entry in the same genre. In Ageless, Kiara wields a powerful bow capable of ageing and de-ageing flora and fauna, a core concept required to navigate through the game’s varied locations.
When watching the trailer, my mind – reductive as it is – thought Ageless appears to combine the gameplay elements of The Messenger with the visual style and self-discovery themes of Celeste. Interestingly, there’s a split-second of the video hinting at some shapeshifting elements, too, where Kiara morphs into an eagle.
If Ageless captures the quality of other acclaimed games in the genre, we’re in for yet another 2D platforming treat. There looks to be plenty of challenge for those looking to test their skills against a tough game.
Additionally, there’s a demo available on Steam if you’re keen to try before you buy.
Ageless is available now on Steam for AU$21.50 and the Switch eShop for AU$22.50.
