Dev Diary #72 – Masao Kobayashi (Far Cry 3, Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six Siege)
With his career trajectory heading one way, but his passions directed toward games, it was only a matter of time before Masao Kobayashi would find his way into gamedev. Sure enough the opportunity came, and his star began to rise. Masao joins Paul in this newest episode to discuss his time at Ubisoft, some of the production chaos he survived early on, and what he learnt that he could apply to his own studio, Cut To Bits.
Born and bred on the Super Nintendo era, Paul relishes any opportunity to sink his teeth into an RPG, action or platformer. Despite being an owner of all major platforms, Paul does have a particular love of the Playstation family of consoles – take only a few minutes to skim through his Twitter and you’ll see him ranting about the next big thing on PS4. We swear he’s sane.
