Be a Superhero and Stream for Cancer Research

With National Superhero Day taking place on the 28th of April, Game On Cancer are putting out the call to all streamers and gamers to suit up and log on, raising money for some real-life heroes in the process. From this date until the 11th of May, streamers can register on Tiltify to divert any donations to Game On Cancer and build upon the $410,000 the charity has raised for this worthwhile cause already.

Fans are encouraged to reach out to their favourite streamers and encourage them to get involved, joining past Game On Cancer alumni including Loserfruit, Drewdog, PandaTV and Aussie Antics as well as the Back Pocket community channel and Jeff Cannata, host of the DLC podcast.

Game On Cancer have set their target at $50,000 for this two week period, hoping to fund six months of work for an early career cancer researcher. By focusing on researchers who are fresh in the field, Game On Cancer hopes to ensure a brighter future not only for those battling this terrible disease and their loved ones, but also the people who dedicate their lives and livelihoods to finding a cure. With almost 10 million lives lost to cancer annually,

With four weeks to go, now is the time to try and get your favourite streamers on board, or begin promoting your own stream. Those who would prefer to watch rather than stream are also able to get involved in a number of ways, from joining the Game On Cancer Discord channel or following the Twitter feed to donating directly. Even if donating isn’t financially viable right now, adding to the community spirit and spreading awareness of the event can go a long way to helping reach the $50k goal. Even better, many of Game On Cancer’s partnering companies are donating prizes to be won by donors to the campaign.
