Lorcana casts a Winterspell this Friday
Ravensburger are dispelling the heat this Friday with the launc of Winterspell, the eleventh wave of Disney Lorcana content led by Stitch and Angel. As with previous waves, Winterspell will hit dedicated hobby stores first before wider distribution.
Unlike previous Lorcana waves, Winterspell doesn’t feature any Single Player decks and instead focuses on booster boxes, the Illumineers Trove and a few playmats with some very nice designs on them – Ariel looking like a boss in some armour and Belle showing off her archery skills just to name a few.
There are also two Collector focused kits available this wave:
- a Stitch themed Collector Starter Set with an exclusive card portfolio design, Stitch promo card and four booster packs.
- A Scrooge McDuck themed Gift Set with exclusive Scrooge Promo card, a collectors storage box and five booster packs.
In terms of new characters, Pocahontas has entered the realms of Lorcana bringing along many other familiar faces, with snow-blanketed artwork adorning many of their cards. It wouldn’t be winter without Anna and Elsa, so expect to see plenty of Frozen moments. Lilo and Stitch are enjoying the snow as a change from their tropical climes, but most exciting to this writer is the inclusion of Mickey’s Christmas Carol, a perennial favourite in this household.
As always, support your Friendly Local Game Store where possible and make sure you’ve preordered your Lorcana products from somewhere like Vault Games to pick-up and play this coming Friday. For those without a FLGS, a wider release will hit larger retailers on the 20th.
