Riftbound Unleashed Exclusive Card Reveal!
With Spiritforged, Riftbound‘s second wave of content now well and truly in the wild, Riot Games are already teasing the upcoming third wave, Unleashed. Alongside a number of outlets selected to preview a card from the Unleashed set, Player2 is excited to give Riftbound players their first look at UNL 50/219, the Calm Bilgewater Unit Iascylla.
Sporting a ‘Rare’ rarity symbol, Iascylla is a rather high cost unit requiring at least 1 green Calm Rune to summon, featuring 6 Might and allowing a player to move an enemy unit to it’s Battlefield if it held the location from the previous round. While Calm isn’t exactly sitting high in the meta at the moment, it’s a given that a whole new wave of cards will disrupt the current pecking order, so maybe this ‘resembles-but-is-legally-distinct-from’ Octopian Sea Witch will find their way into some upcoming decks.
The Unleashed wave builds upon Spiritforged with two pre-cons in the form of a Vi Fury/Order deck and a Vex Calm/Chaos deck. Featuring an included Booster, these will once again be a great entry point to the Unleashed wave. The new Vault product includes six boosters, 36 Rune cards (six of each type) and some bonus goodies – a scaled down MtG Bundle, these should pair nicely with one or both of the precons to jumpstart some deck construction. Booster boxes will naturally be available on launch, with Player2 getting the chance to open a whole box of Riftbound Spiritforged on our Instagram account here.
