Marvel Stadium to Host MTG Event
Wizards of the Coast have something extra special for Magic: The Gathering fans in Melbourne this month! Aside from the giant Thanos art reveal, a special Marvel Super Heroes Launch Event will take place on June 24th from 6-10pm at the iconic Marvel Stadium.
Tickets are on sale now for $50 AUD, and can be purchased here.
Each ticket will include:
- 3 x Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes Play Boosters, per person
- 2 x Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes Jumpstart Boosters, per person
- 1 x Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes Welcome Deck, per person
- Food and drink
- Access to Learn to Play, Limited play and Free Play areas
- Access to an exclusive pop-up store with Magic: The Gathering products, accessories, and more
For the more mathematically astute readers, you’ve likely observed the ticket price is under what the included packs would cost at retail, let alone the other extras. The Marvel Super Heroes set officially launches on June 26th, so this prerelease window event will give fans early access to not only the new wave of cards but also a chance to play as their favourite Super Heroes and Super Villains in formats like “Pick 2” Draft, Jumpstart, or Learn to Play in a dedicated environment with helpful tutors. Open to both newcomers and veterans alike, Player2 will be on site to cover the event and likely get our ‘America’s Ass’ handed to us by… both newcomers and veterans alike.
