PAX Aus lineup for Magic: The Gathering Revealed
Wizards of the Coast have arranged a slew of events for PAX Aus 2026, the centrepiece being an Echoverse Commander Showdown in the Main Theatre at 5PM on Saturday October 10th. Hosted by Step Panecasio & RubeePlays, ZMainCharacter, Good Games Morely and MaldHound will duke it out for the top spot using Commander decks showcasing the latest legends from Reality Fracture. During the match, attendees can help determine the outcome and even win prizes for participating.
Celebrating the launch of Reality Fracture just a week prior, each day will have Sealed events running between 11AM – 2PM, followed by alterne Sealed events of recent sets between 2PM – 5PM with Marvel Super Heroes, Secrets of Strixhaven and Lorwyn Eclisped running Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively.
For the uninitiated, Learn to Play events will run across Friday and Sunday from 10AM – 6PM, with Saturday evening running until well into the night and finishing at 11PM.
Wizards are also running a Pauper Bash event from 6PM to 11PM in the Tabletop Hall on the Friday night, with a $20 entry fee on top of a regular PAX Aus badge. Saturday night will also play host to a Chaos Pick 2 Draft event from 6PM to 9PM – it’s quite possible PAX Aus could provide MtG fans with three days of non-stop play for all experience levels.
On top of this, guest artists Benjamin Ee, Alex Stone, Rovina Cai, and April Prime will have sessions all weekend long to sign your favourite cards. Meet and Greet sessions, including Maldhound, ZMainCharacter, and Good Games Morley, will also be held off-booth so fans can get up close with their favourite Content Creators.
An on-site Magic: The Gathering store will be loaded with Reality Fracture and other recent sets, including The Hobbit and Marvel Super Heroes. From Play and Collector Boosters to preconstructed Commander Decks and accessories, the store has your MtG covered to keep those games running.
PAX Aus is taking place at the Melbourne MCEC across Friday to Sunday, October 9 – 11. Badges can still be purchased at the official website, with Friday and Sunday badges still available.
