For all that is holy, it has been a terrible run for games journalism of late. This came to a head in Australia as Kotaku was unceremoniously shut down by its owner Channel 9. This has got the P2 crew all riled up, with Rob leading Tim and Renee through the sad state of affairs that is Aussie games journalism. Is it dead? Is there still a viable way for aspiring writers to make a buck doing what they love? Will we ever see something the size of Kotaku, Gamespot or even Hyper in Australia again? But it isn’t all doom and gloom. The team have to talk about the games they have been playing, Dark Souls Remastered and Go-Go Town, so there is at least some light before they get to this sad topic.
