After looking at the flakey ashes left by our previous episodes, people’s dreams fluttering and dissolving in the air as the literal value of their words dissipates before our very eyes, we figured we needed to shift gears and try and find something at least a little greener to focus on for this one. Where did we land, exactly? To put it very simply, we landed on the rise and rise of PC gaming.
Tim’s back in charge here, sweating his way through a Northern Hemisphere summer that he claims panelists Renee and Hewso simply can’t appreciate. Apparently they could same of the current Aussie winter, but at least a hard-working gaming PC will generate some heat on the side. Not that that really came up – rather, this one became a mixture of reminiscing and reluctantly admitting that the way many PC game things work these days is probably for the better. Well, except for the bit were we’re still waiting for something to come along and top the original Dues Ex.
