Riftbound Vendetta - Exclusive Card Reveal!
Thanks to Riot Games, Player2 is able to exclusively reveal one of the upcoming cards for the Vendetta wave of Riftbound, launching in game stores on July 31st. This will be the first wave to release at the same time in English and Chinese, so it is sure to shake up the meta more than ever before.
Our Reveal card is the ‘Eclipse Dragon’ Unit, a cost 8 Fury. For this cost, it brings a hefty 8 Might to a battlefield, and by using it’s Accelerate ability, it can enter ready and raring to go. Number 16 of 166, it’s a Rare card of which there are two in every Booster pack for Vendetta.
Blocking out the sun itself, the Eclipse Dragon also gives players the chace to draw a rune when moved, provided the player is in control of four or less. While some decks allow Rune draw to ramp up heavily, being able to pay 8 to get this bad boy out and then end up at 4 or lower could be highly situational – but for a Fury deck, aggression is the name of the game. A slightly smaller wave clocking in at 166 cards, not including overnumbered or alt arts, Vendetta forgoes the individual pre-con decks offered up to this point, instead introducing the ‘Zed vs Shen Showdown Decks’ product, a two-player starter kit that includes two Vendetta booster packs.
