Easy SMX V18 Wired Gaming Mouse
Easy SMX are continuing the charge into our gaming lives with their value for money peripheral range. One of the latest additions to this group of products is the Easy SMX V18 Wired Gaming Mouse. This mouse is certainly in the cheap category, retailing for about $16USD, but I can honestly say don’t let that put you off. It is the perfect second mouse. The ideal solution for throwing in a travel bag so you can have a gaming option on the road.
The feel of the mouse is certainly on the plastic side of things. It lacks the finesse of a lot of the high-end gaming mice out there but that is to be expected. That being said there is a feeling of durability about the product. I travelled with mine to Vanuatu, left it in the bottom of my backpack with my laptop, Switch and a million charging cords all bouncing on top of it and it came out without a scratch. This isn’t a product that is going to break as soon as you get it out of the box.
As for performance, I used it with few titles, most notable Overwatch and Doom and it performed admirably. I never once felt like the mouse was letting me down in any way and the side buttons all worked as advertised, without any noticeable delay. It was great to be able to program the mouse’s extra buttons for different commands, however the software used to do so was noticeably buggy so, in the end, I just used the in-game options to save any hassles.
This really is the ideal second mouse, it is never going to replace your high-end Razer, Steel Series or Logitech mouse but then again, it isn’t trying to. This is the perfect affordable solution for someone just getting into gaming on the PC or for someone who, like me, needs a gaming mouse that can handle being thrown into a bag and dragged around the place without breaking down. For the low, low price, what more can you ask for?

Editor of Player 2, Matt spends his time yelling at strangers as they walk past, imploring them to visit Player 2. Sadly this tactic hasn’t yielded any significant results but he keeps on trying regardless.
