The 2021 Australian Game Developer Awards Have Been Run and Won
Every year the IGEA (the peak industry association representing the Aussie and Kiwi game developers) run the Australian Game Developer Awards. These awards celebrate the fantastic developers and programmers that come from our shores and are a wonderful event each year. This year, thanks to the pandemic, of course, it was an online event with seemingly the entire Australian Dev community turning up in their Sunday best to watch the proceedings on a screen.
Ron Curry, CEO of IGEA had this to say about the awards, “The AGDAs are the perfect opportunity to celebrate the Australian games industry and the amazing people who work within it. Australian developers create games that are enjoyed internationally, by millions of people, giving credence to the creativity, skill and hard work of our Australian studios. All of these games, studios, and individuals truly deserve these Awards – not just for video games, but for the work and contributions they have made to the wider screen sector.”
