Remember what hope feels like? Yeah, it seems pretty distant to us, too. Frankly, maybe some of you were only just born the last time we truly felt it. But, believe it or not, there was a time when videogames as an industry (yes, even the then fresh-faced XBox brand) felt exciting and bubbly with potential! When we were sliding further into 3D game design, each year brought new landmarks, and experimentation was still rife even from the bigger publishers.
Tim, Rob and Matt use this episode to talk about that era, and notably the promise that the very first XBox seemed to hold. As well as some of the fears, actually, which turned out to mostly not be what we should have been concerned about.
