2K Australia Closes its doors
In sad industry news it was announced today that 2K Australia will be shutting its doors for good. The Canberra based developer has worked on both the X-com and Bioshock franchises and most recently released Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
At this point in time it seems all jobs will be lost and the doors are closed permenantly. The studio was the last AAA developer left in Australia and seemed, from the outside at least, to be on stable ground. No word on why 2K has closed the studio yet but we will update the story as we find out more.
Our thoughts go out to those who have lost their jobs and we sincearly hope they find gainful employment soon.
