Welcome to the World of Stealth Gaming Headsets

It’s still raining as I step onto the street in front of Kings Cross station, regretting the combo decision of letting my kids take my umbrella and choosing to wear my not so waterproof runners.  I start to make my way down the street before I realise I have no idea where I am going. I pull out my phone to check Google maps and realise I am going in the wrong direction. I hate Sydney. Five minutes later, with my socks saturated, I finally found my destination, the Milky Lane burger bar, home to burgers that I have seen on social media but have not yet had the chance to experience, and the location of a PR event for Stealth Gaming.

Stealth Gaming is looking in at expanding its presence in the gaming market and wanted to put on a display for the best of the best in Australian journalism.  Unfortunately, Hewso was not available, so I was sent along in his stead to check out just what they had in store for Australian gamers.

While there was nowhere near enough time to give you a full review of the headsets on display, we were treated to a look at three of the different models in the XP series that are currently available for purchase through Aussie retailers.

Both the Hornet and Raptor were comfortable to wear and covered my ears easily, helping to block out the background noise, and both provided clear and crisp sound.  I also got to look at some of their lifestyle range of headsets. Designed to not look like the typical range of gaming headsets, this range comes in a variety of different designs and is an entry-level budget option.  Great for those looking to get a headset for the kids without having to drop a huge amount of money.

All of their headsets come with a detachable microphone, allowing you to use them outside of the home without them looking like you yanked them out of the computer on your morning commute because you could find your regular “outside-the-house” headphones.  However, one of the best things about these headsets is that the packaging is 100% plastic-free, so you get bonus environmental warm and fuzzies on top of a new headset.

These models are currently on sale in Australia through limited retailers, however, Stealth plans to bring in a lot more of their range to our fair country so stay tuned for more info when it becomes available.

For now, after experiencing the finest that the Milky Lane Burger Bar as to offer, I have to get to the gym. Those burgers, fries and donut churros fries that I shoved in my mouth because I didn’t have the willpower to stop aren’t going to disappear on their own.
