Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
The time has come and 2020 is FINALLY drawing to a close. It has been a hell of a year here at Player 2 and we thought we would indulge in a little backslapping on our achievements in this terrible year. Player 2 has grown in leaps and bounds this year and we just wanted to share the good that happened, you know, to try and offset the bad.
- In March Player 2 was accepted onto Metacritic, one of 6 currently active Aussies site to have that honour.
- Player 2 was a Lizzies finalist for Best Independent Coverage and Best Gaming Coverage at the Lizzies
- Player 2 contributors Adam Rorke, Hope Corrigan and Chris Button were also finalists for individual honours at the Lizzies
- Player 2 welcomed 6 new contributors to their writing video team.
- The Player 2/Terry Campese Foundation Charity Marathon had its biggest year yet raising $5276 which will go towards the Queanbeyan Sleep Bus.
- Player 2 went from an average of 10k unique views per month to finishing the year with an average of 90000, with two months breaking 100000 unique visitors.
As you can see despite 2020 being pretty much the worst year ever, we have managed to have quite the good time here at Player 2 and that is thanks to all of our wonderful readers. Thank you all so much for spending time with us this year and letting us entertain you in a small way.
