Cultivating Creativity in Australia talk coming to Vivid LIVE in Sydney
As a part of the Sydney’s upcoming cultural festival, Vivid LIVE, On The Floor and Vivid Ideas are presenting a discussion panel – Cultivating Creativity in Australia: Video Games. The panel takes place in Sydney’s Darlinghurst Theatre on the 7th of June and seeks not only to incite discussion and debate on the state of the video games industry in Australia as a whole but also how the industry is viewed in wider political and societal terms.
Hosted by IGN’s effervescent Entertainment Editor, Lucy O’Brien, the panels boasts some seriously big names, including Australian Senator and deputy leader of the Greens Scott Ludlam, Media Molecule’s co-founder and studio director Siobhan Reddy, Managing Director of PAX Australia and Guy ‘Yug’ Blomberg. Joining them is CEO of The Game Developers Association of Australia, Antony Reed, and renowned local developers Nic Watt and Giselle Rosman.
You can follow the event here on Facebook, and purchase tickets from Moshtix. I’ll be there to cover the night for Player 2, as well as enjoy some of the charged and passionate discussion expected to take place.
