Earthfall At E3
Co-op shooter Earthfall let a few cats out of the bag at E3, showing off a new trailer and confirming it’s release date. As you can see from the trailer, Earthfall feels like something of a Left 4 Dead/Tower Defence hybrid, with fast-paced combat and the ability to construct and protect bases.
The official synopsis reads:
Help fight the alien invasion in Earthfall. In this co-operative shooter for up to four, players must use squad-tactics, portable heavy weaponry, “instant” walls, and more tools as they avoid swarms of horrific intergalactic invaders. With an arsenal of 3D-printed weaponry, players can work together to drive back the alien menace to discover the story behind the cataclysmic alien invasion – and exactly what horrible secrets the invaders are hiding
So there is some story in play, but let’s be honest here, no one is playing this sort of game for a deep and meaningful tale of woe and depression. Nope, this is all about the dead aliens. I must say it looks promising and could be a sleeper hit if the gameplay is balanced just right.
Earthfall is hitting PC, PS4 and Xbox One on the 13th of July.
