Well just the other night D.I.C.E held their 18th annual awards ceremony at the Hard Rock hotel in Las Vegas. The event each year aims to celebrate games in all their glory, be they AAA titles or small independent projects.
Dragon Age Inquisition was given the coveted “Game of the Year” award however it could be argued that The Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Mordor was this biggest winner. Mordor won 8 out of the 9 awards it was nominated for including best story. The awards also honored the lifetime achievements of video game pioneers Allan Alcorn and Ralph Baer.
The Academy is made up of publishers, developers and members of the Independent Game Developers Association.
