Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Brings The Endgame Chaos

With release less than two weeks away Gearbox Studios and publisher 2K have revealed what players can expect from the endgame of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the latest fantasy-infused entry in the Borderlands universe.

Designed to provide hours of gameplay for high level characters, a Chaos Chamber provides players with a six room mini-dungeon including a mini-boss at the mid-way point and main boss in the final room. Between rooms, players much choose a portal which will determine what they face next, with randomised objectives for each room keeping runs fresh. Of course, players need motivating and nothing motivates Borderlands aficionados like loot, so Gearbox have ensured each Chaos Chamber is stuffed to the gills with it. Wrap up a Chaos Chamber, and to the victor go the spoils, or in this case the Loot of Chaos.

But it won’t be so easy to obtain – each Chaos Chamber also houses Crystals, which can be found in the environment or earned by completing room objectives. Crystals can buy Blessings which could comprise of increased critical damage or ammo capacity, to melee attack and movement speed buffs, and more. Balancing these out are Curses, debuffs which amp up the rewards with the risk to boot. You may have noticed the creepy Rabbit statues in the above trailer that are absolutely starved for Crystals – feed them enough and they might just projectile vomit gear everywhere. Rather than randomise this gear though, each Rabbit gives out a particular type, ensuring players can target the upgrades they’re after.

Rounding out this addition are Moon Orbs, a micro-transaction currency which can also be earned in game to pay for the use of an Enchantment Re-roller station, which allows players to further customise their favorite loadouts by randomising their enchantments, with the cost increasing each time an item is adjusted.

While Gearbox and 2K have also hinted at another new feature – the Chaos Trial – they have yet to provide any further information and will keep fans waiting until closer to the launch date.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands launches on March 25th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series S/X.
