NBA 2K23 Brings His Royal Airness To The Court
It is that time of year folks, time for 2K to announce the release date and cover star for the latest edition of NBA 2K and this year it is a big one. To celebrate the fact that it is NBA 2K23 this year, 2K managed to grab the most famous wearer of the number 23 in basketball history as the cover star. That’s right, none other than Michael Jordan will be the main attraction this year and it goes beyond just being on the cover.
Returning from NBA 2K11 will be the Jordan Challenge, a mode that recreates 15 iconic moments from the career of arguably the best basketball player ever. These challenges have been rebuilt from the ground up for the new technology and there will be five brand new challenges making their way into this edition. If you have ever played a WWE game and enjoyed the modes that focus on the career of a particular wrestler then you have a good idea of what to expect.
NBA 2k is coming in a couple of editions of course. There will be a standard release, a Jordan edition and finally a Championship edition which includes a 12-month pass to the NBA streaming app, allowing players to watch every NBA game live and on catch up. As to what else is included in the different versions, expect to hear more as we get closer to the September 9 release date. In the meantime, don forget to check out the announcement trailer below.
