Hades 2 Delayed To 2024
I love Hades. I love how it plays. I love how it uses the rogue-like element of play-die-repeat to deliver its narrative. I love its weapons. I love all the wonderful characters. Especially Megaera, and how her voice just drips with disdain. Delicious.
So Supergiant Games providing an update on the sequel to this game is immensely exciting to me. First announced in December 2022, Hades 2 looks to offer more of that stellar gameplay with a brand new protagonist and story, whilst further exploring their version of Greek mythology. Interestingly, this is the first sequel that the developers have ever made of its games.
Similar to the first game, Hades 2 will take full advantage of community feedback by launching into Early Access in Q2 2024. With the game being in full development, we should be able to see a significant portion of the game by then. But as Supergiant says in their latest update, they would still be able to act on any feedback they receive from the community.
Ahead of early access, there will also be a limited access Technical Test, to check for any technical or compatibility issues.
