WWE 2K24 | Hype Check
With 2K’s WWE 2K24 now only a few weeks away, we wanted to touch base with some of our team to see how they’re feeling about the game. We’ve seen a range of media up to this point, from gameplay showcases and trailers, we’ve seen the press releases, and heard the talk, but how are we feeling? That’s where we’re bringing Hype Check into the mix; to get a gauge on what the prospective players are thinking. So here’s how we’re feeling about WWE 2K24.
Matt Hewson
I love the wrasslin’ and thankfully, after the abomination of WWE 2K20, this franchise has been on the rise. I was lucky enough to go hands on with this earlier this month and had a fantastic time. It seems to have had quite a few improvements in regard to the flow of the match and the new Wrestlemania tribute showcase looks fantastic, especially for the diehard fans. I think this will be another step in the right direction for the franchise, meaning it will be the best WWE game since probably the PS2 era.

Wrestling games are cool and all, but the quality of these releases hasn’t been stellar. Or good. I hope this changes things up, but I’m sure wrestling fans will still lap it up. These seem to sell pretty well regardless of quality. I just hope it’s good.:

I hate to be too harsh on this game, but I know they’ve not been of an exceptional quality in recent times, and pair that with the fact that I really just don’t like or get the buzz about wrestling and you’ve got a game that could come and go and I’d never raise an eyebrow towards it. Sorry 2K, you’ve got my interest with many other sports games but wrestling just isn’t it for me.
