Square Enix E3 2015 Conference Wrap Up

Square Enix E3 2015 Conference Wrap Up

Just Cause 3

We got a date for Explosion Simulator 2016, aka Just Cause 3. It is hitting our consoles on the 1st of December 2015. There was also a great gameplay trailer on show that demonstrated some of Rico’s new gear as well as what he does best and that is blowing stuff up. The game looks amazing and it is sure to please fans upon release

NeiR

A new NeiR game was announced. The game is in the very early stages of development but the exciting news is that it is being developed by Platinum games. This bodes well for the cult franchise. Nothing else is known really so it could be a long wait for this one to come out

Hitman

More details were shed on the next Hitman game. It is coming as a digital product to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 8 and it will be a constantly updated sandbox. New levels, contracts and missions will be added on a regular basis creating a living game with no end. This is a very attractive proposition that I think suits the Hitman franchise nicely, after all no one plays the game for its story. Could be a big one!

Kingdom Hearts

After trolling everyone watching with a Kingdom Hearts Mobile game, Square finally came up with the goods. A good batch of Kingdom Hearts 3 was shown in a gameplay trailer. The bad news is that there is still no release date so they are obviously miles from the finish line in regards to finishing the game

Star Ocean 5

A new Star Ocean game was also shown off. Not having much of a history with this franchise I can’t really comment but it sure did look nice. What isn’t so nice is the title of the game. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is the name of the game and it is surely a contender for the “Most awkward Name of E3” award. Check out the trailer though as it looks pretty good despite the name.

Deus Ex

Mankind Divided hit the floor running with a great gameplay trailer that showed off some of Adam Jensen’s new abilities. These looked like a lot of fun and are sure to add even more options to combat. There was a few story details as well, Jensen is now working for Interpol in a special division tracking down terrorists but at the same time he spying to try and infiltrate the Illuminati. Sounds like a fun Deus Ex story. The game is coming out in the first quarter of 2016 so there is a little bit more waiting to be done.

The Rest

A new game was teased from a new dev studio call Tokyo RPG Factory, not much was shown but it is apparently being released in 2016 worldwide. There was also a bunch of mobile gaming showing including Hitman Sniper and Lara Croft Go.

Square also showed the Tomb Raider trailer from the Microsoft conference and the FFVII remake trailer from the PS conference. No new details were offered on either game.
