To GFinity and Beyond
For the past little while, Australia has been lucky enough to have its very own GFinity esports series. For anyone who hasn’t been paying attention, the first question on your mind is probably ‘what exactly IS the GFinity Series?’
Good question. Now I could just link you up to their website and call it a day, but here’s the quick rundown. The GFinity Elite Series is split up into three stages; Challenger Series, Elite Draft and Elite Series. Starting with the Challenger Series, which is an open competition for all competitors across CS:GO, SFV and Rocket League, the top-ranked players will make their way up to the Elite Draft. From there the highest ranked players/teams will battle it out in a competition battled out over 7 weeks in the Elite Series stage!
Well it’s been one hell of a ride thus far and we’re finally at the final stage, and it all kicks off today – June 2nd with CS:GO. The best part is that it’s all free to watch and broadcast live on their Twitch channel:
So what are you waiting for? The next seven weeks are going to be fairly spectacular and a real boost for the Australian esports scene! Go follow their Twitch and give them a look on twitter because the best way to support local esports is to simply sit back and watch it.
