The Weatherman Gets His Revenge in Just Cause 4
One of the most impressive things in the E3 reveal of the Just Cause 4 was the new weather system, with destructive tornados and other (as yet unrevealed) weather events adding further chaos to Just Cause’s explosive formula. Now thanks to Gamescom we can finally see how these events affect gameplay and how Rico will deal with them.
A new trailer has dropped showcasing these massive weather events. It is an impressive site with each object torn loose having their trajectories calculated in real-time. This means that each event is unpredictable and unique, with no telling what will happen to the environment in the process. All of this is thanks to the brand new APEX engine that Avalanche Studios have just built and if this video is any indication, it is a seriously cool bit of tech that is sure to be in demand from other studios if it can live up to these demos and showreels.
Check out the new trailer below and get ready for the explosive fun of Just Cause 4 when it hits PC, Xbox One and PS4 on the 4th of December this year.

Editor of Player 2, Matt spends his time yelling at strangers as they walk past, imploring them to visit Player 2. Sadly this tactic hasn’t yielded any significant results but he keeps on trying regardless.
