Another year, another white hair added to the beard. 2023 has been a peculiar ride, a unique mountain-valley-mountain-valley landscape of ups and downs within the world of games. It may well go down as simultaneously the best year to be playing them and the worst year to be making them. This leaves us feeling a little bittersweet about celebrating what we enjoyed playing over the course of the year.
Ultimately, though, it still seemed better than trying to find games that sucked to talk about, and so Tim, Rob and Renee all plug in their mics to share for one last time this year what they’ve been playing over the past week or two, as well as what they consider to be their favourite games of the year. A fun part about just keeping it personal is that these things follow less of an expected format… so, uh – sorry for anyone who might be hanging out for talk of Baldur’s Gate 3?
